Your photos stay on your device
When you upload a picture to make a badge, it is opened and cropped entirely inside your own browser, on your own phone, tablet or computer. It is never uploaded to us, never sent over the internet and never stored on any server. The printable PDF is also created on your device. When you close the page, the images are gone.
No accounts, no sign-ups
There is nothing to register for. We don't ask for a name, age, email address, phone number or address anywhere in the app.
Basic, anonymous usage data
To understand how the app is used and to keep improving it, we collect a small amount of anonymous, aggregated data — for example how many times pages are visited, the video is played, and buttons or links are tapped. This is only ever counts and totals: it contains no names, no email addresses, no photos and nothing that identifies you or your child, and we don't use it for advertising or build a profile of anyone. Your uploaded pictures are never part of this and never leave your device.
What is stored on your device
So that the app works offline and behaves nicely, a small amount of information is saved on your own device only:
- A copy of the app's pages, pictures and templates, so it still works without internet.
- A note that the opening badge animation has already played, so it doesn't replay every time.
- A short-lived marker for the current visit, so a single visit isn't counted more than once.
None of this is sent to us, and clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app removes it completely.
Printing and downloads
Templates and the badges you make are downloaded straight to your device as PDF files. What you do with them afterwards — printing, sharing, saving — is entirely up to you.
A note for parents and carers
Because no photos or personal details are uploaded (only the anonymous counts described above), there is no chat, no user-generated content shared with anyone else and no way for children to be contacted through the app. Younger children may still need a hand with printing and with using scissors and the badge press.
